Fast Turnaround Rebrand for a Trading Fuel Site
A practical live-site rebrand delivered under tight time pressure, with essential signage restored quickly and safely.
A CASE STUDY
Fast turnaround delivery for a live service station under tight time pressure
When a Metro fuel site needed to be rebranded at short notice, the challenge was not just the speed of the turnaround. The site was live, trading, and operating in an environment where timing, safety and presentation all mattered. The previous branding had already been removed, including fuel pump decals and other key signage elements. These were not just brand graphics. They included important information signage needed to help the site function clearly and safely while continuing normal operations.
Brand Industry Services was engaged to mobilise quickly, work from the new supplier’s established brand guidance, and deliver the new site elements needed to keep the station trading with minimal disruption.
THE CHALLENGE
This project came with a very short ramp up period and an equally short execution window
Because the site had changed supplier, its existing branding had been debranded before the new identity was in place. That created an immediate operational and presentation issue for a live petrol station that could not simply pause trade while works were carried out.
The site needed essential branded elements produced and installed quickly, while broader rebrand works were planned and coordinated around day to day trading. All activity had to be managed with consideration for customers on site, fuel deliveries, site access, and WPCG safety standards.
WHAT WE DELIVERED
Working from established brand guides, our team quickly mobilised
Once a site measure was completed, we moved straight into production and within the week, we had manufactured and prepared pump decals and smaller forecourt signage elements so the station could continue trading with key signage back in place as quickly as possible.
As the project progressed, we also identified a practical solution for the new MID pylon sign. To make use of the existing footings and avoid the need to relay concrete, the structure was custom made in-house. This approach helped keep the project moving while reducing unnecessary site disruption.
The full scope included:
- site measure and rapid mobilisation
- manufacture of pump decals and smaller forecourt signage
- custom in-house fabrication of the new MID pylon sign to suit existing footings
- artwork creation and print of all signage faces
- LED price display testing and commission
- cladding and illuminated signage to canopy and storefront
- wayfinding signs, safety signs and decals
HOW THE PROJECT WAS MANAGED
This was a practical, fast moving job that depended on clear communication and confident decision making from the beginning
By coordinating site measure, manufacture and install sequencing closely, we were able to keep progress moving while working within the realities of a live fuel site.
Install works were carefully planned to provide minimum interference to customers, daily trade, and fuel truck deliveries. Safety remained central throughout the project, with works carried out to WPCG safety standards and with the operational needs of the site always front of mind.
THE OUTCOME
The result was a successful live site rebrand delivered within a tight timeframe
Essential signage was reinstated quickly and broader site elements completed through a practical and fit-for-purpose solution. The project showed the value of hands on coordination, straightforward communication and in-house capability when time is short and the site needs to remain operational.
For Brand Industry Services, this project is a strong example of project management in action: moving quickly, solving practical problems early, and delivering a clear outcome with care and consistency.
